NORTH COURSE DESCRIPTION

The North Course extends across 86 hectares and has been created to fulfill the requirements of international professional tournaments since its opening in 2008. With a length of 7,165 meters from the championship tee, it is the European Tour’s longest course and one of the ten longest courses in the world.

Apart from the lengths, water constitutes one of the biggest challenges with regard to the modern and unique North Course. 17 holes include water hazards that partly line the holes from the tee along the beautiful fairways to the green. Bunkers have been strategically placed close to the green in order to challenge each player at the highest level.

According to the DGV’s course rating, the North Course is the most difficult one from the championship tee in Germany. Four tees are available at each hole offering the appropriate challenge for all playing abilities.

A lot of experience was gained through the organization of eight international professional tournaments, e.g. the European Challenge Tour in 2010.This experience is used to further develop the entire area, particularly regarding the North Course.

You can have a perfect look at the players from numerous natural grandstands!

Experience the “Green Monster” – as the North Course was once called by Alice Cooper – and watch world-class players live at the Green Eagle Golf Courses within the framework of the Porsche European Open from 26th to 30th July 2017!

ABOUT US

Everything started with a vision…

Green Eagle Golf Courses is located just outside the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and was founded in 1997 by Michael Blesch (PGA golf instructor) and Ralf Lühmann at the age of 26. They established a fresh, young and dynamic golf club concept that unreservedly welcomes everyone who wants to get to know and experience golf.

Today’s golf course extends across 186 hectares and its concept offers access to everyone and for all playing abilities. The three courses leave nothing to be desired: the public 6-hole Par 3 Course, the 18-hole South Course for all playing abilities and the 18-hole North Course which serves as a championship course for international tournaments. The largest Driving Range in Northern Germany, a diverse practice area and the Titleist Fitting Center offer endless training opportunities.
But Green Eagle Golf Courses does not only draw attention due to its unique design and exceptionally high quality of care of its three courses which were built by Michael Blesch and his long-time greenkeeper team: The clubhouse’s atmosphere and ambiance also set new standards.

See for yourself and enjoy a delicious breakfast, a tasty lunch, coffee and home-made cake or a relaxed dinner at our club’s restaurant with its spacious lakeside terrace. You can also relax at our “beach” next to the pond of the South Course’s 18th green. It’s the perfect place to unwind on a lounge chair after a round of golf or to let the day end with an after work drink!

Allow yourself to be charmed and be our guest!

We wish you a good game.
Yours,
Ralf Lühman & Michael Blesch
